The Impact of Communication on the Developing Brain of a Child

For episode 45 of the Dad Dialogue podcast, Laurence is joined by Marty Wolner! Marty is the father to two adult children and currently the grandfather to one grandchild, soon to be two. Marty calls himself a burnout coach and has worked with many leaders helping to provide support and solutions based on neuroscience backed research. His work has extended into children within the early years space and has seen him involved with helping support early childcare workers and schools in how to best support children’s early development.

In the episode we discuss the differences Marty has observed between when he was raising his children to know watching his children raise their own children. We also dive into the world of brain science especially when it comes to the development of a child’s brain during their formative years. Within the discussion there are many possible actions points and tools that any dad listening can take away and start implementing.
